What's a lotion bar?
A lotion bar is simply a solid butter based bar that's made without water. Because of this, lotion bars are highly concentrated, long-lasting, and eco-friendly. And because they're made without water, we don't have to use plastic or other permanent packaging for them. Our packaging is naturally biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable.
Please be patient with us as we work through our existing packaging and transition to our new name and branding. It shouldn't take long, and we appreciate you!
How do I use it?
Remove your lotion bar from the box, and gently warm it to your skin. Rub back and forth, and then massage into your skin. When not in use, just keep your lotion bar in a cool, dry place. No need to refrigerate it, but definitely think of it like a chocolate bar. How would that bar look after being in a hot car for 4 hours?
Expiration & Usage
We recommend that you use your lotion bar within 1 year of purchase, but it is good to use for up to 2 years. There is a sticker on the bottom of your box that shows the date the bar was poured. How long the bar lasts will depend on how often you use it, but ours generally last a couple of months.
Ingredient Safety
Quality and ingredient safety are of the utmost importance to us. Our lotion bars are not only 100% organic, but they've been tested and are completely non-toxic. This means that all of our ingredients have been proven to be safe for use on skin. We are also cruelty free and there is no animal testing anywhere in our supply chain. Our fragrances are all derived from organic essential oils or custom made natural fragrance, and are not synthetic.
Our Giving
Are you a non-profit?
No, we are not a registered non-profit at this time. As of June 2026, we transitioned to a giving based business model from a traditional for-profit brand and business. Under our current giving structure, we will be donating 50% of profits from the sale of Good Cherie products (and any other products that are sold through our website) to non-profits that are focused on the needs of women and children. By Q1 of 2028, we plan to have achieved 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.
Who are you giving to?
With the proceeds from this summer's sales, we will be making donations to Lauren's Kids South Florida and Lotus House shelter for women and children in Miami. We encourage you to learn more about the incredibly important work that both of these organizations are doing, and to see what your purchases is providing.
How do you choose who to give to?
We decided to shift from a for-profit model because we want to be a force for good and have an impact on individual lives. We choose the charities and non-profits that we support based on our own life experiences and traumas. We've seen the harm that many women and children live through and know the long term trauma that this harm brings to lives. We make and sell our products as a means of supporting organizations that are working hard to address these harms through education, support and resources.
Shipping, Returns, Etc.
When will my order ship?
We're in Florida, and it's hot. Because of the high temperatures and the nature of cocoa butter ( think chocolate bar), we ship on Mondays and Wednesdays right now. This is to avoid having your lotion bars sit in a hot truck or shipping center over the weekend.
Do you accept returns?
We can accept a return of a new, unopened and unused lotion bar within 5 days of delivery. Reach out to us right away if you need to return an item, and we'll send you everything you'll need.
My lotion bar got hot!
We use heavy corrugated boxes, biodegradable inner temperature control lining, and eco-friendly ice packs. Even with all that, things can happen during shipping that can't be predicted. If your lotion bar arrives in less than perfect condition, please let us know right away and we'll reship it for you.
